Following his retirement from the practice in March 2014 Cedric is pleased to continue his association with the firm as a consultant.

Cedric Hennis is one of the most experienced Criminal Law practitioners in the North of England with over 25 years experience in a wide range of defence work from. He was originally a senior prosecuting solicitor in the midlands and Yorkshire before specialising in criminal defence work in 1984. He has conducted cases in all of the major courts appearing regularly in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal as well as in the lower courts, and he was one of the first solicitors to achieve rights of audience in the higher courts. In addition he has experience of defending clients at Courts Martial having successfully represented clients at military courts both in this country and abroad. He is a member of The Society of Higher Courts Advocates and a Member of the Association of Military Court Lawyers. A past president of the Doncaster Law Society he sits on a number of committees and panels advising on criminal law.

Miss Cheryl A Dudley (Partner) Close (X)

Having practised criminal law for over 20 years Cheryl has a wealth of experience in all aspects of the criminal justice system.

Her reputation and ability as a lawyer, is demonstrated by her large and loyal following. Cheryl has higher rights of audience regularly appearing before the crown and magistrates’ courts. Cheryl is also a lower tier judge of the mental health tribunal.

Richard Haigh qualified in 1979. He prosecuted for seven years until 1987. Since that time he has been in private practice representing clients prosecuted for criminal offences.

In 34 years in the criminal justice system Richard Haigh has both prosecuted and defended every kind of criminal matter. His current practice requires him to appear at the police station (pre-charge) and the Magistrates Court. For the last 8 years he has practised regularly in The Crown Court representing clients facing the most serious offences and defending jury trials. He has also appeared in The Court of Appeal several times.

Mr Jason Newall (Solicitor) Close (X)

Born in Doncaster Amanda graduated with a 2:1 LLB (Hons) Law Degree from the University of Teesside in Middlesbrough. She then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the college of Law in York.

Since qualifying as a solicitor in June 2001 Amanda has solely practiced Criminal Law. Specialising in all areas of Criminal Litigation Amanda covers both advising and representation at the Police Station and also at the Magistrates Court. She has also represented people at the Crown Court. She is an experienced advocate with a good client following and covers the full range of criminal offences. Amanda is also a duty solicitor for the local Police Station and the Magistrates Court.
